Reset Sunday: Feeling Stuck? Here's Your First Step to a Calmer Week

reset life checklist

Have you ever had one of those days or weeks when you wake up and think,
“I just can’t keep doing it like this?"

I have.
More than once, honestly.

There was a season in my life when I felt like I was going through the motions. I was busy. I was needed. But inside, I felt disconnected from myself. I could not put my finger on what was wrong, but I knew something had to change. I did not want to overhaul my entire life. I just wanted to feel like myself again.

That is when I started experimenting with tiny resets.

Not big resolutions.
Not overwhelming 90-day plans.
Just small, consistent shifts that helped me breathe again.

The Small Question That Changed My Routine

One of the first changes I tried was so simple it almost felt silly.
Every morning, before checking my phone or getting out of bed, I asked myself:

What do I need most today?

Not what needs to get done.
Not what everyone else needs.
Just… me.

Sometimes the answer was stillness.
Sometimes it was water and sunshine.
Sometimes it was permission to do less.

That one tiny question started a domino effect in my mindset. Because when you pause, even for a moment, you create space to come back to yourself. That is where the reset begins.

Why a Reset Day Matters for Women

If you are a Christian woman balancing a busy schedule, a Sunday reset can be the perfect time to create a reset life checklist that supports both your spiritual life and your daily routine.

Your reset day can be as simple as:
  • Sipping coffee while reading a short Bible passage
  • Taking a quiet walk in the sunshine
  • Planning meals that make you feel nourished and calm
  • Choosing one thing to remove from your schedule to create breathing room
It is not about doing more. It is about creating space to hear God’s voice and reconnect with your own.

A 7 Day Challenge

If you are feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed, you are not alone. I know what it feels like to go through the motions and still wonder why your heart feels heavy.

That is why I created the free 7-day Selah and Rise Challenge with a printable journal. Each day you will receive one short, gentle email with a simple mindset shift you can do in under 5 minutes. And halfway through, you will also get printable encouragement cards to keep nearby as daily reminders or to share with someone who needs them.

You do not have to change everything to reset your life.
You do not have to be “more” to feel better.

You just have to pause and take one small step toward peace. Let this be your first one.

I am cheering you on.

With love,
💗 Shelly
